Houston D. Smith, III

Houston Smith graduated from Duke University and then from the University of Georgia School of Law. He practiced insurance defense law for eight years before switching gears to represent victims of catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death caused by car accidents, truck accidents and other personal injury claims. Mr. Smith has extensive experience with accidents and injuries caused by drunk driving and texting while driving.

In addition to authoring Soft Tissue Injuries In Georgia (Thomson/West 2010), Houston has contributed articles as co-author to the plaintiffs’ bar including “Representing David Against Goliath“, chairs and speaks at seminars for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) and the National Business Institute (NBI) and is a contributing member of the Legal Advisory Board to the Journal of Controversial Medical Claims (Aspen Publishers). Mr. Smith is the chairman of a recurring seminar which teaches other personal injury lawyers how to litigate car accident cases.
